Celebrating Excellence at the Gold Standards Framework Awards!
Yesterday was a truly proud moment for everyone at Brook House – and especially for Michelle, Karen, Rosie, Jenni, and Kati, who have worked tirelessly over the last 18 months to ensure we are providing gold-standard end-of-life care.
Talking about death and dying is never easy, particularly in a care home setting. Our motto has always been that you come to Brook House to live – not to die – but we also know that supporting a “good death” is an essential part of what we do for many of our residents.
Taking part in the GSF training reassured us that we were already delivering excellent care, but our management team worked hard to demonstrate that these practices are embedded throughout the home. Their dedication paid off – we are so proud to have achieved 100% accreditation!
