We believe a care home should offer more than just medical and practical support. Belonging, dignity, and kindness are the human touches that brighten each day. But the story of The Willows, and the wider 3ab Care organisation, is rooted in something even deeper: a family’s personal promise.

Why 3ab Care Homes were born

Pharmacist Arvind Patel had a clear vision for care. With his three brothers, he turned that vision into 3ab Care Limited, not just another care home, but an organisation rooted in love, compassion, and respect.

The mission was deeply personal. Arvind and his brothers set out to create the standard of care they would have wanted for their own parents, had they been given the chance. That promise remains at the heart of every decision the organisation makes today.

Unlike many larger providers, 3ab Care Homes remain proudly family-run. With a family member involved in overseeing each home, compassion and personal attention are built into the care they provide.

As Arvind Patel, our Chairman, explains:

“We don’t just oversee care; we are personally invested in delivering the compassionate, dignified support our residents deserve. This philosophy has shaped not only our reputation but also the everyday experiences of our residents and their families.”

What makes 3ab Care Homes different?

Choosing a care home is one of life’s most important and emotional decisions in life. Families are not just seeking professional support; they’re searching for reassurance, a feeling of complete trust, and a home-from-home environment. At 3ab Care, we know that the difference lies in the details.

A family-run approach

With family members involved in the management of each home, our values remain consistent across the organisation. Families can feel confident that the people looking after their loved ones are personally committed to ensuring the highest standards at all times.

More than accreditations – 3ab Care care is in the detail

Over the years, 3ab Care Homes have earned a strong reputation and achieved high standards of quality and compliance. While we are proud of these accreditations, we believe that excellent care is about more than formal recognition.

It’s in the small details: a carer who remembers how a resident likes their tea, a nurse who takes extra time to explain a new medication – or a staff member who sits quietly with a resident who needs company. These moments of connection make the difference between a care home that provides services and one that truly feels like family.

A promise that continues

From its earliest days, 3ab Care Limited has been built on love, respect, and a family’s promise. That promise is still alive today in all six of our homes throughout the Midlands and the Southwest.

At The Willows, Shepshed, Leicestershire, we are proud to play our part in this legacy – continuing to deliver compassionate, dignified, and personalised care for every resident who becomes part of our Willows family.

Because at the heart of 3ab Care, family isn’t just part of our history; it’s our way of caring. 💚
