Over the past year, we have been incredibly fortunate to welcome an amazing group of student volunteers from Gloucester Academy as part of their Duke of Edinburgh award.
Every single week, these young people have dedicated their time to visiting our residents, bringing endless energy, smiles, and wonderful companionship to our home.

This week, the students celebrated their achievements at their awards ceremony - and we couldn't be prouder of them! To show our appreciation, our residents, team, and the whole family here at Saintbridge House came together to create a special thank-you video. 🎬👇

The connection between our residents and these volunteers has been truly magical. Intergenerational friendships bring so much joy, purpose and energy into our home, and we are deeply grateful for the dedication and kindness these students have shown over the last 12 months.

Thank you, Gloucester Academy volunteers. You are a credit to your school and community, and you will always be a special part of the Saintbridge House family! 🌟

Last week was Best Friends Day, and we spent some wonderful time together reminiscing about friends old and new!
To celebrate those special connections, our residents got creative and wove the names of their dearest friends into a beautiful Scrabble board display! It was a lovely activity that brought back so many fond memories and sparked plenty of heartwarming conversations across the lounge. ✨

We had the dabbers at the ready for a lively game of Bingo Bongo at Saintbridge.
There’s always a great atmosphere in the lounge when the numbers start rolling out. Plenty of concentration, a bit of friendly banter, and lots of cheers for the lucky winners! 🏆🥳

We were joined by our wonderful Gloucester Academy students for an epic quiz all about the World Cup team flags - all 48 of them! 🏁✨

Our residents had a brilliant time testing their knowledge, and the competition was fierce. A massive congratulations goes to Sheila’s team, who took the crown by getting over 30 of them correct! Well done team Sheila! 👏🏻🎉

We love these intergenerational mornings at Saintbridge House; they always bring so much energy, laughter, and friendly competition to the home.

We had a fantastic afternoon at Saintbridge with our wonderful physiotherapist, Alice, leading an interactive exercise session!

Everyone got stuck into some gentle stretching and strength building using the bright yellow resistance bands. It was a brilliant, fun way to work on our mobility while sharing plenty of laughs around the room. Thank you, Alice! 🌟😊
