Mini Sparrows Sports Day – 25th June 2024

What a lovely day out we have had today! Thank you to Mini Sparrows for letting us join in with your sports day! What a great day for it!

Waterloo Farm – 17th June 2024

Now THAT’S a sausage roll! We enjoyed a walk around Waterloo Farm today, We didn’t have a big group but it was certainly worth the journey!

Kilworth Marina – 10th June 2024

What a lovely afternoon we have had at North Kilworth Marina! We sat and had a yummy picnic whilst enjoying the small bits of sunshine we were lucky enough to get!

Attfields Farm Shop – 3rd June 2024

Attfields Farm is one of our favourite spots to visit on the minibus! Just a small group of us today, but still thoroughly enjoyable!

Waterloo Farm – 20th May 2024

The residents and staff managed to sit outside again this week to enjoy their coffee and cake! We have been very grateful to have such lovely sunshine recently!

Palmer’s Garden Centre – 13th May 2024

Today we invited our amazing Maintenance guy, Les, along on our minibus trip as this was his last week with us before retiring. We think it was the perfect way to say our goodbyes and a great way to spend his last days with us at Brook House!

Ullesthorpe Garden Centre – 7th May 2024

Today was the first time in a while we were able to sit outside and enjoy our coffee and cake! We invited a few family members along with us, which is always a pleasure!

Wistow Cafe – 29th April 2024

Today the men went out for a coffee and a round of cake!

Gospel Choir – 19th April 2024

On Friday 19th of April @ 2pm we had the pleasure of inviting EAGA Gospel Choir into our home to perform for our residents and their family or friends! It’s safe to say they were truly amazing!

Palmer’s Garden Centre – 15th April 2024

We really enjoyed visiting Palmer’s Garden centre again – It’s one of our chosen favourites for our tea and coffee outings!

Attfields Farm Shop – 8th April 2024

This week we enjoyed a slice of cake and a coffee at Attfields Farm Shop Cafe! We had a walk around the farm shop and it was very nice to get out in the fresh air!

Today we visited a cafe that we don’t often get to go to, which was a nice treat. We treated ourselves to a Latte and Millionaires Shortbread!

Friday 29th March – Easter Tombola!

Brook House held their annual Easter Tombola on Friday 29th of March 2024! All donations towards our tombola from friends and family were greatly appreciated – Thank you all so much!

A little coffee date for Jan and David today! Thanks for letting Geoff and Kerry join you too!

Easter Egg Hunt – Monday 18th March

Husbands Bosworth Primary School, Class 2 came to join us yesterday to celebrate Easter! We had so much fun hunting for the Easter eggs!

On Wednesday 15th of March Brook House PAINTED ALI RED!

We are extremely grateful for all of the sponsors that we received and we raised a generous amount of money for Comic Relief!

Monday 11th March – Waterloo Farm Minibus Trip

Today the minibus took us to Waterloo Farm where we could enjoy the views of the lake and fields from the conservatory!

Wednesday 6th March – Palmer’s Garden Centre Advertising

This week was a little different for ourselves and the residents…We made our way down to Palmer’s Garden Centre to advertise our amazing services here at Brook House! We had Goodie Bags and Cookies to give away and treated ourselves to a toastie each for lunch. Overall a successful trip!

Monday 26th February – Langtons Garden Centre

On a bitterly cold morning, the residents wrapped up warm and made their way down to Langtons Garden Centre where they satisfied their sweet tooth and warmed up with some coffee.

Monday 19th February – Waterloo Farm Minibus Trip

The residents enjoyed a spot of cake and a hot coffee this week at the beautiful Waterloo Farm. The residents were able to enjoy the views of the lake and accompany Geoff on his dog walk! What a lovely sunny day it turned out to be!


Wednesday 14th February – Valentines!

It was a day full of love and lots of yummy food for our residents! We each got a chocolate rose, a tasty main course and dessert, love letters, doughnuts and amazing decorations to accompany everyone throughout the day…

Thank you to our Kitchen staff and Activities staff for making it such a special day!

Monday 12th February – Countesthorpe Garden Centre Minibus Trip

Our residents had the pleasure of visiting Cherry Lane Garden Centre this week! They went for an enjoyable walk around the Centre and picked out some of their flower favourites!
